These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Smiley Chimney Sweep website and the services we provide. By using this website or booking a service with us, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Provided

Smiley Chimney Sweep provides chimney sweeping, inspection, repair, cap and damper installation, relining, masonry, and dryer vent cleaning services to residential customers in Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

2. Appointments & Scheduling

When you request an appointment through our website, phone, or a self-scheduling form, you agree to provide accurate contact information, service address, and preferred date/time. Appointments are confirmed by us directly and are subject to availability. We ask that someone 18 years or older be present for the entire appointment.

3. Pricing & Payment

Prices quoted online (including flat-fee specials) apply to the specific service described and are subject to confirmation at the time of booking. Payment is due at the time service is completed unless other arrangements are made in advance. We accept major payment cards and checks.

4. Estimates & Additional Work

If our technician identifies additional repair needs during your appointment, we will provide a written estimate before performing any work beyond the originally scheduled service. No additional work will be performed, and no additional charges will apply, without your approval.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This helps us offer that time slot to another customer. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect our ability to offer future appointments.

6. Customer Responsibilities

To help your appointment go smoothly, we ask that you provide clear access to the work area, secure pets, and ensure the fireplace has not been in use for at least 24 hours prior to our visit. See our appointment preparation guide for full details.

7. Referral Program

Our refer-a-friend program offers a gift card reward to both the referring customer and the referred customer, subject to the referred customer completing a paid service and the referral being verified by us. Gift cards are subject to availability, one reward per qualifying referral, and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue the program at any time. Please allow a reasonable time for gift card fulfillment after a qualifying referral is confirmed.

8. Warranties & Limitation of Liability

We perform our work to industry and CSIA-recognized standards. Except as expressly stated at the time of service, we do not offer any additional warranties, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.

9. Website Use

The content on this website, including text, images, and our logo, is owned by or licensed to Smiley Chimney Sweep and may not be copied or reused without permission. You agree not to misuse this website, including attempting to interfere with its normal operation.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
